The Community Health Advancement Program (CHAP) invites you to an interactive workshop on health advocacy with family physician and current Doctors for America Copello health advocacy fellow Jennifer Jones-Vanderleest, M.D., MSPH, this Monday, March 11, 2024.
Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. PT at the Health Sciences Education Building (HSEB) Room 101.
Workshop learning objectives:
- Describe approaches to participating in physician health advocacy
- Review strategies employed in health advocacy
- Practice public narrative as an advocacy tool
- Discuss opportunities for your involvement in health advocacy
Dr. Jones-Vanderleest is an attending physician in Public Health-Seattle & King County Jail Health Service. She also leads a jail health elective for family medicine residents and co-directs the HIV telemedicine program. She is a UW clinical associate professor of health systems and population health and faculty in the Northwest Public Health and Primary Care Leadership Institute.
